About
180 Skate Shop is a Pro Skate Shop serving the Martinsburg, Charles Town, Hagerstown, Winchester and the entire quadstate area. It is a place where skaters feel welcomed and can call it their shop. 180 Skate Shop is also the home to a Christian Skaters Chapter where we meet every Friday evening to hang out with all the skaters. We are now also managing the Berkeley County Indoor BMX/Skatepark.
How 180 Skate Shop Began
180 Skate Shop wasn't planned, it just happened. We started selling skateboard items on ebay to help raise money for our son to go to Europe with People to People Student Ambassadors. What started out as something that was to be short term has now consumed our lives. When the word got out that we had skateboard items for sale the kids started coming to our house to buy, before we could even get them on ebay. We saw the need was much more than sending our son as a Student Ambassador, but a need for skateboarders. Then we moved out of ebay and went from one, two, and thee booths in the Flea Market to beside the Flea Market and then to Hack Wilson Way and now our current location, which is inside the Berkeley County BMX/Skatepark. Six years later were still supporting skaters in the quad-state area.
About Us
You wouldn't consider us your typical skateboard shop owners, were parents to a young adult, a teenage boy and a teenage daughter. What we have learned about skateboarding has been through all the skaters themselves and lots of research. We have learned to love skateboarding as much as the skateboarders. I don't know what is in store for the next year and beyond but as long as we can we will provide a place for skateboarders.
